About Us:
Prior to HYPR canoes, you had to wait almost
a year to get your canoe delivered. Having been
introduced to this wonderful sport by a friend,
Ian just got tired of waiting for his canoe and
decided that his previous experience ( at www.metalcrafters.com
) and contacts in building concept vehicles, aerospace
and marine craft would result in better quality
OCs, better choice and costs. Ian decided to solve
the production and innovation dilemma facing the
sport, thus HYPR was born. The name is derived from
Hawaii Performance (Hi – Per ) but we added a twist
to it becoming HYPR. The Hot Red Yellow & Cool
blue logo represents our Big Island roots of Hot
Lava hitting a cool blue ocean at South Point.
